About

Cecelia “Cece” Gans is an attorney in the business/transactional and estates & trusts law groups.  She represents a variety of businesses and individuals in connection with corporate transactions.  Cece took an immediate shine to networking and business development, and has developed a respectable book of clients, representing businesses and individuals in contracts review, leasing, intellectual property matters, real estate, and regularly assisting on large M&A transactions.  Cece realized early on that the faces behind the businesses she represents are people with personal legal needs, leading her to build a solid foundation in estates and trust planning, administration, special needs planning, and guardianship proceedings.  Likewise, individual estates and trust clients often require business planning and Cece’s succession planning work effectively brings together her two chosen areas of law practice that both involve protecting, preserving, and growing assets.

Cece is an active member on the Estate & Trust Law and Business Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association. Additionally, Cece serves on the board of Cornerstone Community Housing, a nonprofit dedicated to helping men experiencing homelessness.

Cece holds a B.A. in Political Science from Seton Hall University.  She graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as a Rule 19 Student Attorney in the Community Development Clinic and staff editor of the University of Baltimore Law Forum. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Shannon E. Avery of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
